Dreams

For the second day in a row, I've dreamt I've been struggling with a cobra. It's not like I'm afraid of the cobra... but it's hard to handle something as squirmy as a live eel while preventing it from biting me and without hurting it. I know where to hold a snake to keep it from biting me, and how to hold one that is agitated, but these cobras defy all physical laws of snake handling in that when they spread their hoods, it prises my hand open & lets them slip through my palm like water. My dream cobras all also seem to have pebbly dark olive green skin, like this one specific type of rubber cobra I've seen for years in Hallowe'en stores & toy stores. Today's dream also had some battling ogres mixed in (belonging to two different ogre factions, no less) and I was struggling with this particular cobra while peeking over the arm of a couch to make sure the ogres didn't notice me. All the ogre stuff is pure WoW... the ogres were lifelike, but all were wearing red or blue loincloths & carrying large boards w/nails in them.

My dream cobras are not real cobras, in the sense that the real cobras I've been around have all been docile and relaxed creatures. And they definitely don't look like rubber Hallowe'en cobras.

I'm awake a good hour & a half before I needed to be... got sweaty & overheated while dreaming, couldn't get back to sleep. Wah!

Halleluiah!!! (Spelling highly questionable...)

I can walk again, crutch free!!!

Of course, now I limp. And I cannot remember how to turn easily & naturally to the right. And my leg shakes. But I can also pick things up off the floor and put things in drawers near the floor. And get off the couch in one try. And carry things!

It's amazing how many things a person takes for granted, how many small movements the body makes without thought or much effort, until the body can't do them.

In other news, more bad luck. The driver's side door on the truck is broken and the garage door opener broke. I also go back to work on the 12fth. Yerg.
