Home Again, Home Again

Yanno, I kind of like working days & swings. It's a very different environment than graveyard. The biggest difference being, of course, clean rooms. Lots of them. People are slightly different, too - they haven't been stuck on planes or waiting in airports all day only to be told they are getting a smoking room next to the air conditioner compressors on the ground floor & they have to wait 2 more hours for housekeeping to clean it... at 4am. I have been a lot more relaxed since making the big decision to drop out of night audit. It's nice being able to walk out of work & not have to worry if I forgot to do something. My feet now only start to hurt about three-quarters of the way into the shift. That two hours a day makes a big difference, too - yeah, so I don't get three days off anymore, but the way I see it I gain two hours a day. That extra day off was mostly recovery time, anyway.
