Snippets of Dreams

I guess the ones I was having this morning were more like nightmares, but honestly for me any dream is fan-fucking-tastic, even the bad ones.

First off, I went to sleep while playing a shamanic drumming CD. I've been trying to work on a connection exercise & not having much success, hence the drumming. I was also fasting last night for a blood test this afternoon.

Anyway, I woke up because my left eye was hurting, and barely remembering a dream of someone or something ripping my eyes out. I think our a/c has been drying out my sinuses & making my eyes puff up & run when I'm sleeping - at least the humidity has ended my nosebleeds. In the dream, which I don't remember much of anything from, I was struggling with something - I was dropping to my knees trying to pull their hand from my face but I can't say for sure it was human hands. There's almost an impression of buzzard talons and dark, dusty feathers. Then my eyes were ripped out & there was darkness, and me waking up with that dried out stabby sensation.

I fell back asleep while thinking about getting up & soaking a washcloth in hot water for my eye (thank you, Elavil). This morning, what finally got me out of bed was dreaming that I was walking around w/someone in a swap-meet kind of environment, only it was a swap-meet combined with a zoo. All the animals were horribly maimed. Someone had a basket full of emu chicks that had been poisoned, and I saw a huge black elephant fall over to die - its ears were ripped to bloody shreds & its trunk & legs looked as though someone had been hacking at it with a machete. I actually felt my brain forcing my body awake w/a "fuck this, get up already" sort of thought.

At least I know I'm not the only one who has totally messed up dreams (pokes GFE).
