Catahoula Love

What's funny is that I'd seen these dogs down south, the 'tree-climbin' dawgs' or 'cat dawgs'... but I didn't know they were an actual breed, I just thought they were mixed-breed hounds. Especially because they're so weirdly colored, with blue eyes or different colored-eyes. On the ASPCA shelter's site, someone surrendered a 7-yr old 'Catahoula Leopard Dog' who'd been through a dog training academy & I was like, "Why? Why put that much time & money into a dog & then drop it off at a shelter?" So then I went to the other animal shelter's site, & there's a Catahoula Leopard puppy... so I did some web crawling & found out that these are the 'tree-climbin' cat dawgs'. I was amazed to find out it's a real dog breed & not just a bunch of weird-lookin' ol' hound dawgs!
