In my beliefs, a person is responsible for getting drunk or high, but once a person is drunk or high, their active and knowledgeable responsibility stops and they become a temporarily insane person who really can't be held accountable for their words, thoughts and deeds (buzzed doesn't count, I'm talking truly wasted) at that moment in time.

Whilst I agree with many of your comments re: "drugs", entheogens, etc., I disagree with the above sentence. It almost seems like you disagree with this statement, based off things you say later in this post.

I believe that individuals who are intoxicated are completely responsible for their actions--even in the moment. Just because you're in an ASC doesn't mean you're "temporarily insane," IMNSHO. As a matter of fact, this thinking (and it's subsequent Practice) is what gets so many "drugs" bad names, reputations, and contributes to the illegality of so many of them.

If people can't handle themselves, be responsible for their actions, or refrain from making asses outta themselves in a manner that they don't want (I rather enjoy making an ass outta myself, but I'm different than most people--Hail Coyote!!!), then they shouldn't do "drugs."

To me, Christians are kind of weak because they can't live up to their own actions.
