I had aspirations of being a forensic anthropologist or a mortician at one point in time. I did a lot of home study before finding out there was no education available within a 40-state radius around & including Nevada. It was eye-opening, all the things that people think are laws regarding death & body disposal, the dangers (or lack thereof) of corpses, alternative burial options, you name it.
I could still be a funeral director (and you can too by passing a quiz and paying a $500 licensing fee!) but I don't want to worry about profit & loss or selling more pre-need packages, unnecessary embalming services & fancy vaults to vulnerable clientele. It's also not very lucrative here - people go home to be buried, they don't stay in Vegas.
