Shrink My Head
Well, we got one good rain squall. It was fun watching the pigeons run back & forth in the yard. Now it's back to thunder & lightning, sound & fury... it's cool & dark here in the house, which I am appreciating to no end.
Went to Mattimoe - he said that if 10mg Paxil made me sick, chances are any SSRI will do the same. The MAOI's aren't recommended for someone w/high blood pressure (and apparently you really have to pay attention to your diet when you're on MAOI's - no cheese, no chocolate, no NSAID's...), & he doesn't feel the tricyclic antidepressants will do anything except help me sleep - like Elavil.
So I broke down & went through the insurance rigamarole & set up an appt. w/a shrink. A psychologist, to be exact. Her name's Tammy, which instantly makes me think she's blonde. All the Tammy's I know are blonde. Don't ask me why Tammy = blonde, but it does. Best news of all, my mental health is cheaper than my physical health. Two free sessions & the rest are $7.50 a pop. Not too shabby. I don't think it will help, but at least I get to bitch freely at a stranger once a week.
