Would You Like to Take A Survey?

Nah, me neither. I'm working on my project for my Web Development class. I decided that the safest bet for me would be a website that was a visitor's guide to Las Vegas (and surrounding areas). A lot of it is going to be dedicated to what people should ask hotels when they are shopping for their room. Do you have bathtubs? How about coffee pots? Do you accept pets? What are your pool hours? Common sense stuff that apparently only occurs to people who actually work in the service industry. Some of it is going to be Las Vegas' history, just a brief synopsis for the trivia buffs, some things on demographics, the usual. I probably won't be publishing it online but it has to be publishable quality to get a decent grade. It has to have graphics, so I'm going to drag Rob out to the Strip one afternoon & get some royalty-free pictures (and learn how to use my digital camera in the process). It has to have tables, lists, frames, a guestbook, and links, both internal & external ... I want to add some sightseeing things but I don't want this thing to turn into a major undertaking - I've got 6 weeks, not 6 months. I'm also keeping it PC here - no suggestions on (ahem) gentlemen's clubs, social clubs or the socio-legal dilemma of prostitution.

So anyway, I've got some good brainstorming ideas from a few of my coworkers, and I've got a stolen What's On! magazine. If anyone reads this anymore & has any suggestions of what they'd like to see in a 'Visitor's Guide to Las Vegas (and a little bit beyond)', common sense suggestions, good things to see, do or eat, free entertainment, kid stuff (because we all know how much parents love to leave their kids sleeping in hotel lobbies while they gamble til dawn)... feel free to drop me a reply. I may try to put it up on geocities or something if I can find a free web hosting service, just so I can add a line to my resume & say, "Hey, check out my class project website. Ain't it nifty?!".

And yeah, I have to admit, my early experiments with a 'My Trip to La Brea Tar Pits' web page were kind of fun :)
