It was a beautiful morning this morning. I walked out of the castle into a cool, damp breeze that felt like an early February morning on Malibu. I could almost smell the ocean. It was drizzling a little. The clouds were low and misty on the mountains and where the sky could be seen in gaps through the clouds, it was a sublime color of blue.
I needed to be welcomed back into the world that way after the night at work. Thank you, Great Mystery.
On an aside, I saw Pink's video for her 'Hello, Mr. President' song or whatever the title is. Yanno, Ellen Degeneres called the president the other morning - I think she was interviewing one of his daughters. Anyway, Bush didn't know who Ellen Degeneres even was. Somehow, I don't think Pink's efforts will have much of an impact.

Well, obviously - Australia. I see Australian things, I think Moonvoice. Especially photos/film of Uluru.
I like the fact that you share your creative expressions with the rest of us. It's fun to watch you discover new techniques. I really like seeing your preliminary sketches.
I haven't known you incredibly long, so the memories are all pretty recent, but... I will always remember Startail.
Something I'd like to know, honestly, is how did you first come into your shamanic training? Is it something you've been doing on some level all your life or did something happen that sparked it off?
(There's another thing - who are all the stuffy British folk in your user pics? Like that guy whose caption says, "I am most exceedingly stupid."?)
I like the pic of you in 'Curtain Light'. I don't know how to link to it though (::cries::). You look good in filtered sunlight.

But I didn't get seriously into it until I was 18, and was expected to die on an operating table, and *did* die, and then recovered and survived. After that it was like things woke up in my head. I went from practicing Alexandrian Wicca in a coven, and believing in totem animals, to going full circle and exploring my heritage on my Dad's side, and then finally to fully embracing shamanism.
That surgery changed me. In some ways for the better. I've been very ill ever since, but I actually believe that this is part of the shaman's illness that I will one day mostly heal.
Oh!! And the stuffy British folk are from the movie Sense and Sensibility, it's got Kate Winslet, Alan Rickman, Hugh Laurie (in a bit part, before he got famous as House), Emma Thompson and Hugh Grant in it (among others), and yeah. Hehe. I don't normally like period pieces, but that one is sweet, romantic, funny, well-acted... all the things I like. :)
