Comment on this post, and I will...

1. Tell you why I friended you.
2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, etc.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
7. In return, you must post this in your LJ.

It was a beautiful morning this morning. I walked out of the castle into a cool, damp breeze that felt like an early February morning on Malibu. I could almost smell the ocean. It was drizzling a little. The clouds were low and misty on the mountains and where the sky could be seen in gaps through the clouds, it was a sublime color of blue.

I needed to be welcomed back into the world that way after the night at work. Thank you, Great Mystery.

On an aside, I saw Pink's video for her 'Hello, Mr. President' song or whatever the title is. Yanno, Ellen Degeneres called the president the other morning - I think she was interviewing one of his daughters. Anyway, Bush didn't know who Ellen Degeneres even was. Somehow, I don't think Pink's efforts will have much of an impact.

I friended you because you had the absolute nerve to reach out & touch me! It's funny, I am always nervous about initiating anything online because I don't want to be a nuisance, so when you - an extremely cool, artistic, creative person with links to ancestral shamanistic practices friended me, I was pretty much overwhelmed w/those, "Oh my gods, someone totally amazing is reading my journal" feelings.

Well, obviously - Australia. I see Australian things, I think Moonvoice. Especially photos/film of Uluru.

I like the fact that you share your creative expressions with the rest of us. It's fun to watch you discover new techniques. I really like seeing your preliminary sketches.

I haven't known you incredibly long, so the memories are all pretty recent, but... I will always remember Startail.

Something I'd like to know, honestly, is how did you first come into your shamanic training? Is it something you've been doing on some level all your life or did something happen that sparked it off?
(There's another thing - who are all the stuffy British folk in your user pics? Like that guy whose caption says, "I am most exceedingly stupid."?)

I like the pic of you in 'Curtain Light'. I don't know how to link to it though (::cries::). You look good in filtered sunlight.

I was introduced to holistic practices as a child. I had some exposure to my relatives on my Dad's side who were shamanists from Russia (practicioners of Vilturj), and my Grandmother who was sort of very eclectic pagan / earth spiritualist etc.

But I didn't get seriously into it until I was 18, and was expected to die on an operating table, and *did* die, and then recovered and survived. After that it was like things woke up in my head. I went from practicing Alexandrian Wicca in a coven, and believing in totem animals, to going full circle and exploring my heritage on my Dad's side, and then finally to fully embracing shamanism.

That surgery changed me. In some ways for the better. I've been very ill ever since, but I actually believe that this is part of the shaman's illness that I will one day mostly heal.

Oh!! And the stuffy British folk are from the movie Sense and Sensibility, it's got Kate Winslet, Alan Rickman, Hugh Laurie (in a bit part, before he got famous as House), Emma Thompson and Hugh Grant in it (among others), and yeah. Hehe. I don't normally like period pieces, but that one is sweet, romantic, funny, well-acted... all the things I like. :)

This is me, commenting on your meme post.

I'll be curious to see your answers.

This is also me, thanking you for... missing?... me. Can you thank someone for being happy you're alive without it sounding odd?

Also, this is me not poking myself. For the moment anyway.

I friended you because, much like Moonvoice above, you reached out to me. And you recognized Khalil Gibran. Your story is intriguing and powerful, and I was intensely curious about you and your experiences 'out there'...

Whenever I see sunflowers, I think of you - and I dunno if you watch Bleach or have seen it, but the character Rukia reminds me of you.

I have a deep appreciation for your dry and accurate wit. Your observations of the world around you, and of yourself, often have me on the floor.

Everytime I go to the Meadows Mall, I think about your experience at a mall & how the girls were talking crap about you in the bathroom. It pisses me off, & now whenever I'm in the restroom in the mall, I get pissed off whenever I hear a gaggle of teen-aged girls blathering on.

The thing I'd like to know about you is what you look like. Not so I could hunt you down or pick you out of a crowd or endanger you in any way, but mainly to see if the picture in my head matches you - especially around the cheekbones.

You have soooo many great icons, but honestly, my favorite has got to be "Exorcism: Because Possession is Nine-Tenths of the Law". Alfred in the "Sir, I think you have a problem with your brain being missing." is definitely a close second.

I read this to my Gaurdians and they were highly amused, as was I. Thank you for responding. Now they all want to meet you and are babbling about getting on World of Warcraft just to play with you.

They also say that your picture, on your userinfo, "fucking rocks" and that you are "totally awesome". I'm making them sound like a bunch of stoner idiots, aren't I? They aren't.

I've spelled "I" as "eye" four times already today. Maybe that means I've not gotten enough sleep.

I'm five foot nothing, one hundred pounds, pale skinned and black eyed. My hair cut and style varies depending upon what wig I'm wearing, but I naturally have long blond crazy curly hair. I have a heart shaped face with asian features, small mouthed and high cheekboned. I'm not particularly attractive, although I do have double-d breasts. I don't know if that helped, but I'll see if any time soon I feel like taking a picture of myself.

Wow! I was waaaay off. For some reason I was picturing more angles - but definitely high cheek bones. And blonde?

I am highly susceptible to flattery in the form of words like, "She fucking rocks". Someone thinks I fucking rock. That is really one of the best things anyone has said to me in a long time :) See, it doesn't matter if I think I fucking rock, now I have confirmation.
