Personally, I think Snape had the perfect personality to be a high school teacher... but here goes:

1) IRS or Tax Agency Auditor

2) DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) Customer Service Agent

3) Hotel Night Auditor (hah, no resemblance there...)

4) Post Office Clerk

5) Judge for American Idol or similar RealityTV talent show

He just has that haughty, condescending attitude that DMV and postal agents seem to have. Especially when they smugly look out over a sea of people waiting to be helped, and flip their little signs over to 'CLOSED'.
