(no subject)

Sitting here downloading some updates, playing w/my typing tutorial, seeing just how many programs I can run before my computer completely locks up... I really need to get a high-speed 'Net connexion, but damn. With Rob not working, it's so hard to stay on top of everything - another $40 bill a month will probably tip me over the edge. And the Las Vegas Vally Water Authority is raising our rates. Bastards. I don't see how we can possibly use any less water - we have no grass in our yards, we drink bottled water, (as well as use it to make coffee, ice & water the snakes w/), I brush my teeth in the shower when I can, I only do like, 1 or 2 loads of laundry a week & 1 load of dishes a week, I pretty much only take showers, we never wash our freaking car. I guess I need to cut back on all that toilet flushing or something. I'm gonna go from paying less than $ a month for water to over $30 a month. That's a 200% increase, and it's not because I'm even using more water. I think the water companies need to go after all the golf courses, casinos w/huge water-spraying fountains, man-made lake makers, etc., and leave us residential folk the hell alone. We are not the ones who don't realize we live in a freakin' desert!
