An Odd Sight...

Yesterday evening, coming home from wherever it was we had gone... (the mall?) we saw a rooster. I thought at first Rob, when he said, "Why did the chicken cross the road?" had seen an abnormally large pigeon but then, no, there he was strutting across the shoulder of the road & into someone's yard. We were going up Vegas Drive, (maybe Jones?) I think - I wasn't really paying attention. But considering the neighborhood, I actually came up w/a coupla different answers for the chicken/road question:

a) He was trying to get away from the Santerian who was about to twist his head off.

or, more likely...

b) he was making his escape from a cock fight.

He was a pretty big rooster. Maybe he was someone's potential dinner. I dunno. It was odd to see, tho.
