No More Zombie Movies Before Bedtime...

We rented King Arthur & Shaun of the Dead last night...
King Arthur was long, slow & overall a fairly decent flick. I just put all my preconceived ideas about the Arthurian mythos out of mind, & let the movie just be about a group of stalwart knights defending British soil at the sunset of the Roman empire. The movie was filmed in Ireland, & they chose some gorgeous places to film in, too. There's one scene where four of the knights are riding up a hillside, & the wind is blowing over the grass. It's rippling like emerald green water, & the whole scene was over in about 10 breathtaking seconds. I was awed.
Shaun of the Dead was a great flick, absolutely hilarious, very action packed. It's a love story - with zombies. Shaun turned out to be a very likeable hero for all his slacker ways.
So I tried some Kava Kava tablets before I went to bed. And I dreamed. Now, night before last, I dreamt I was in the bathroom & busily cleaning my ears. Rob startled me & I stabbed myself w/the Q-tip - I must have busted my eardrum, because I stopped being able to hear w/that ear, & I burst into startled & physically hurt tears, which Rob was very unsympathetic to, until I showed him the gory end of the Q-tip... so last night, I dreamt that I was on the set of some stupid couples gameshow.. not as a contestant, but as a set manager or something. Running around in my nightgown, tho. Anyway, there are zombies on the loose, people are being turned into them, but much like SOTD, no one is really stopping their everyday lives. Anyway, I call the house because I'm worried, & some preacher w/a southern accent answers the phone & tells me Rob's gone over. I somehow knew the preacher was responsible for Rob's death, & could tell he was trying to lure me back home, & I wasn't falling for it. So anyway, w/the news that Rob was a zombie, I sat down & tried to force myself to cry because it's what you're supposed to do when your spouse dies... but even in my dream, I could only choke out some alligator tears & forced sobs for a few seconds, & then it was back to filming.
The whole dreaming thing is still very novel, but I am not watching anymore zombie movies right before I go to bed.
