Friday Five
Jun. 23rd, 2006 05:43 pmWhat makes you feel good?
First off, let me qualify this: I am depressed. I never actually feel 'good'. If depressed people depress you or piss you off, don't read this Friday Five.
1. What is the one outfit/piece of clothing/accessory you own that makes you feel incredibly good whenever you wear it? Why?
Clothes cannot make me feel good. If I feel more content than usual, I may enjoy dressing up or putting on jewelry. My clothing, apparel, accessories, etc. have no control over my emotional state.
2. What do you do to make yourself feel better when you're in a funk?
I'm always in a funk. There's really nothing I can do to make myself feel better, much like my clothing not controlling my emotions. My emotions are mostly shades of grey - sometimes I wake up and my world is black, sometimes I wake up and my world is like a soft, fuzzy grey rabbit sitting on the lawn.
3. Has anyone ever suprised you in a way that let you know you were special? How?
Oh, yeah - they surprised me when they gave me the 'Simply the Best' award. It scared the crap outta me.
4. When you are having a "good day," how do you spread the happiness to others?
I just try not to spread my misery any further than myself and my blog.
5. What is one thing that puts you in a bad mood, no matter how good you were previously feeling?
People who expect other people to do things rather than getting up and doing it themselves, especially at work. People who go from one stapler to another, complaining that the staplers are broken when actually they're out of staples. Or the four people standing around the printer when I come in at night proclaiming that the printer's broken when it's actually out of paper. People who can't throw an expired newspaper or empty styrofoam cup away. Makes me wonder what these people do at home when the toilet paper runs out.
