No, not the new n-game system, but a name, Ngame. I dreamt today that there was a major black-out here in town, and people were sort of roaming around outside. I met an old African guy out there & he said his name was 'Ngame' (pronounced sort of like 'Nyam-ay'). He asked if he could possibly come inside & sit down to wait for his son. He couldn't find him, & was worried, and he didn't feel well. So I said sure (bizarre behavior for me, even in a dream). I went inside & closed the door, & when Ngame knocked on the door, I opened it & told him "Welcome to my home" in a formal sort of way. Apparently he had found his son, but his son didn't tell me his name, so when I introduced them to Rob, I was just like, "Rob, this is Mr. Ngame & this is Mr. Ngame's son". Rob was laying on the couch & when he shook their hands, he kind of recoiled in disgust, which is not unusual for Rob.
After meeting their needs with glasses of water, I said I had to go take a shower for work & as I headed for the bathroom, Rob all of a sudden rushed past me & jumped in the shower himself. It was weird because the bathroom had 2 showers, one a normal one that Rob jumped into, & the other one a shower I've been in during other dreams. It's a very narrow shower, cramped, and it's got a basin up higher, with a slightly larger basin behind that one, so it's a shower stall w/two shallow basins in it. I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would make a tub w/those configurations, but for some reason my dream self spends regular time in there (I know in other dreams I've had, I've actually tried to climb up into one of those basins & tried to take what would basically be a sponge bath without sliding out of the basin & falling down into the shower part). I keep banging my elbows on all the walls, & it seems like whenever I look down, it's really far from my eyes to the floor of the shower.
So anyway, from the shower I ended up at my job, also affected by the black-out. At first it was completely dark inside, but my dream eyes became better accustomed to the darkness. A security guard handed me a flash-light to see my way around a little better, but it wasn't necessary at that point.
So out of all this disjointedness, the one part I've tried to remember most is the whole 'Ngame' thing. Doing a search online has been pointless because of this new 'N-game' system, though. It does mean 'I' in Oshindonga. (Hmmm... although I did just find this: http://www.mothergoddess.com/africa.htm that says Ngame was/is an "All-powerful African Moon Goddess who gave human beings their souls by shooting lunar rays into them at birth (Akan people of Ghana)". I'm not too sure about the accuracy of this site because it lists Medusa as the "Serpent Goddess of the Libyan Amazons, representing Female Wisdom", but to each their own. None of my 'Encyclopedias of Gods & Goddesses'-type books have entries for 'Ngame'... so further research may be required. I however, don't have time for it tonight because my hair is wet & my bangs are drying into funky Anime-ish configurations.
