Want a Little Captain In You?
May. 25th, 2007 07:30 amEh, watched The Devil's Rejects... finished watching it a few minutes ago, actually. We rented it & The Fountain. I finally gave in & was like, well, if we start it & some long-haired freak goes off on some socio-political diatribe, we can always turn it off. The same long-haired socio-political freak that ruined most of House of 1000 Corpses with his diatribes was in TDR, but at least in this movie he was just a scraggy-ass serial killer & all-around sociopath. It was kind of a retro b-horror slasher flick and aside from some bad sideburns and bad acting, it was ok. Thankfully, not much room was left for a sequal (that word looks so weird). It was interesting because Michael Berryman, who played 'Pluto' in the original The Hills Have Eyes had a couple of scenes in TDR & me & Rob were just talking about what a strange looking guy he is. I found out he's got a disorder which prevents his hair, nails & teeth from growing. Poor guy!
I noticed to my growing discomfort that watching all the senseless violence was turning me on. I think it was mainly because of Rob Zombie's hot blonde wifie (and the woman who played Ma Firefly - she's older & kind of covered in blood & old makeup, but her voice... woo) being involved in the senseless violence, because The Hills Have Eyes did nothing for me last night. I think I will just blame it on a delayed hormonal rush & not analyze it to death.
