More Than Meets the Eye!
Nov. 29th, 2007 12:55 amOooh, I totally wish we had gone to see Transformers on the big screen!!! We rented it tonight & if it comes out in the IMAX, we are gonna go see that bad motherfucker again. The CGI was seamless. Why they couldn't apply that tech level to Spiderman or The Hulk I do not know. The ending sucked, but the rest of the movie was incredible. Optimus Prime was awesome & so was his stunt driver. Now, I was not caught up in the Transformers fads of the 80s, but I lived through it enough to know the basic storyline (but they went over it just in case you were born after 1985 or so) - I just saw how incredible the graphics were for the movie on the trailers. I'm hoping for a sequel, maybe just to get to know the other Autobots a little better - there wasn't much character development there.
It left me feeling like I felt after I saw Terminator 2 in the theatre. I stood up at one point during that movie & was screaming, "Run! Run!" at the screen like John Connor could actually hear me or something. I think I would have been yelling at the screen during this movie, too, so maybe it's a good idea we watched it in the privacy of our living room :P
