If you want five questions, reply and let me know. :)
1. When do you remember seeing your first ghost, or 'non-corporeal entity'? What happened?
One of my earliest memories is actually of a ghost - even though the correct term is more likely 'psychic echo'. I was three. My family had just moved into a town home in Rowland Heights, CA (which will forever be known to me as High Rollers, CA - there was a game show out at the time called High Rollers and well, three-year old pronunciation & all that...). There was a walkway hedged by oleander bushes leading to the door, and a couple of steps, and then the door. The door was a 'real' door, big heavy wood with a half-moon stained glass window over it. As we approached the door, I saw a man's face materialize in the door and he ran through me, down the sidewalk & out to the street. I freaked the Hell out & had to be physically picked up & dragged into the house by my dad. I kept screaming about 'the man in the door', and my parents kept saying the door was closed, there was no one in the house, etc & so forth. I knew that, but there was a man IN the door - not standing in the doorway, but physically in the door.
The 'man in the door' was part of a scene that played out over & over again. When you walked into the house, it went into a foyer. There was a split staircase that went up to a landing where the bedrooms were. A woman in a long white nightie (total ghost-story cliche, I know - could have been a bathrobe) would come out of the bedroom & fall down the steps, immediately followed by a man in dark clothing who would run down the steps & out the door.
That town house was totally fucking haunted.
2. What is your ideal home, if you had an expendable income. What would it look like? Where would it be located?
Probably not in Rowland Heights, ha! Seriously, though, I like adobe-style ranch houses. I don't like huge houses. A three-or-four bedroom would be nice - turn one room into a ball python habitat & use the other extra room for storage or as a library. I'd like to live in New Mexico - Better Home & Garden's 2010 Dream House pretty much was my dream home: www.hgtv.com/dream-home/hgtv-dream-home-2010-floor-plan-and-rendering/index.html. Only it would be built of real adobe & have a huge freaking pool.
3. What would you do if you won say... $500k in lotto?
$500k isn't that much these days, sadly. Rob & I would probably drop about $300k of that into a house, either here in Vegas or up in Washington state. Invest the rest, whatever taxes don't eat up.
4. What sort of foods do you cook the most?
Simple stuff that Rob will eat, which means a lot of spaghetti & home burgers. Roasted chicken, baked salmon, beef or chicken stir-fry (my version involves thinly sliced meat, uh, those red or green bell peppers you call capsicum, slivered carrots, maybe some broccoli, usually w/soy sauce or I'll do a Mexi style w/tequila & Cajun or chili spice blends). I made beef stroganoff the other day. Sometimes I'll do peppers stuffed w/hamburger & rice. I like food I can stick in the oven & forget about. Usually have green beans, peas, roasted red potatoes.
If I had my way, I'd probably make more elaborate meals, but getting a wider variety of food here in Vegas is severely limited by my budget & Rob's taste buds.
5. What are your favourite parts of your personality?
Hrmm... My sense of humor?
