I finished a thing!

Sorry there was a gap in the works in progress pics... Once I started the border I got into a groove. The blue 'water' on the sides is standard satin stitch - I'm getting the hang of even stitching, slowly but surely. The border around the beadwork and the turtle is two strands of thread in a lazy, open s-stitch/rope stitch. The hoop is offset satin stitch & the darker brown wrapping is my much-practiced chevron stitch.

18 days worth of lunch breaks, waiting for Rob to pick me up in the morning, the commute home (I would have worked on it on the commute to work, too, but it's dark at 9pm :P) & during long flightpaths & queues in Azeroth.

I think I may try tea-dying the tea towel, sewing it to a tote bag & give it to Jody.

I already have a design in mind for #2, which will also be a gift, and therefore not featured on mah blog - but I'll still take photos for later :)
