So I've been playing this weird little game lately, called The ESP Game. It's an experiment in action in which you view an image & try to guess what your randomly-selected partner is thinking about the image & it's a pretty good time-waster. Some people are really in synch to what the image is... others are a little off the mark. Most people seem really focused on the obvious, especially colors. If a picture shows a man standing in a bar wearing a green shirt, drinking a beer and holding a woman, chances are the other person's guess would be green. In the above scene, I would probably guess bar or beer. It's not really an ESP test, but it is a way for some organizations that do work for the visually impaired to better filter internet searches & to help the visually impaired from unwanted porn. While playing, I've seen some nekkid statues & one bare-breasted woman. I guessed nipples for that one while my partner's first guess was woman. There are some 'taboo' words which don't count if you type them in & in the bare-breasted woman's case, breast was on the taboo list.

Anyway, I was thrown a picture of some of those pointy buildings in Thailand. I think building or sky was on the taboo list (if a picture with any amount of sky in it shows up, you can almost always bet your partner will guess sky) so I typed in an array of descriptive terms, such as tower, steeple, temple, Thailand, blue, white, yellow, skyscraper, pointy, pointed, shrine, ad nauseum. My partner finally passed. When I looked back at that round's pictures, it showed one of my partner's guesses being lamp. Wtf?! Who looks at a bunch of buildings in Thailand & thinks to themselves, "Oh, that's a lamp"?! I mean, I can understand someone not knowing they were in Thailand, or not knowing the buildings were temples... but a lamp?

Does this look like a lamp?
