Mmm, thunder

Thank you, Great Mystery, for the dark clouds and thunder and lightning. I slept in beauty.
I admit, I was a tad disgruntled when we came home & the power was out. I mean, fuckitall, we had just gone grocery shopping & I have a freezer of meat, so I wasn't looking forward to having to be on a marathon cooking spree tonight. But, the power was back on by around 10 or so. I had a moment of 'Hah!', too - Rob said, "Oh well, I guess we can't have our decaf this morning" because the coffee pot won't work w/out electricity, but we have a gas stove. Sure, the electric ignition wouldn't work, but where there's a disposable lighter, there's a way. I thought it was funny, too, because I had insisted on getting new batteries for the flashlight when we went shopping. My intuition may not work like it used to but it's there when I least expect it.
