If the appointment was for a hospital, it might imply a small hope of general anaesthesia, or even twilight sleep. But nooooo, this is a 'doctor's office' procedure. Meaning that I'd be feeling every inch of whatever's being stuck up inside me in a place that things should never be stuck up into. Doctors seem to think that if there's a hole, stuff should go into it.
