My heart has joined the Thousand, for my friend stopped running today
- Richard Adams, Watership Down

Kelly, who was my coworker at the Excalibur for 7 years and my friend, passed away yesterday morning around 5am. She had recently entered hospice care for advanced breast cancer.

She will be remembered and missed.

Yay, the main DC fansite is back up! I no longer have to go seeking strange places to leave mah eggies :)

It's such a silly little game, but I've invested a lot of time into it and it keeps me busy. Haven't written many descriptions lately, mainly because I'm too busy at work anymore. I suppose it's a good thing, but it's all literally busy-work & nothing meaningful.

I'm cooking. We had Italian potluck at work today, which blew all my resolve. I brought tiramisu from F&E & it was soooo good. Had some veggies & rice, some polenta with artichoke hearts and olives & tomatoes (I'd love to be able to make something like that here at home, but I'd be the only one eating any of it, much like couscous or hummus), some lasagne, some meatballs & some sausage. I did ok w/the carbs but the tiramisu - I kept telling myself, "What if E decides to take a trip to Vegas?" until I was finally like, "Fuck E... I'm having another piece of tiramisu!" So tonight it's leg of lamb & steamed brussel sprouts.

Got my second interview tomorrow morning. I hope the Water District picks me up...

Rob's become a Wintergrasp addict in WoW - it's a whole territory devoted to PvP death & mayhem... and welfare epics. He wants me to push my Deathknight to 80 but the spans of xp necessary between each level over 70 is just daunting. It took me almost 4 years to get my first toon to 60 and since the Wrath expansion came out in November, I've got 2 70s and 2 65s. I'm an altaholic, I can't help it. I have as much, if not more, enjoyment from crafting stuff than I do from running around killing things. I'd really like to get a blacksmith or engineer past mid-level recipes. I hit what I call the 'Mithril wall' with every single metalworker in the game, though. Once I start needing Mithril ore or Mithril bars to make stuff, I call it quits.
