(I think I'm going to smack this one into my tribe blog, too - it's woefully light on content, but I pour out my soul here mostly. Been thinking more about Sumner, Penny & how it's odd that both me & Jody are chanting the mantra of the old Goth scene, "death is easy". At least Jody's going to be seeing a pshrink, I'm still too pissed off at the one I visited to go through all the insurance crap to find a different one. I am thinking, hold yer breaths & wait for the drumroll, about joining the Las Vegas Athletic Club after my summer class ends. There's one close by, women join for free, they've got a pool & offer pilates, yoga & bellydancing classes & workshops. Granted, losing more weight would be a side-effect, but I'm tired of always being a tightwire. My back is fucking killing me and after spending some time on the balance ball I got, it does feel better for awhile. Being that I finally let my rag start after a month & a half, that lessened back pain makes a h-yoooooouuuuuge difference. I bought a bathing suit, so I better damned well use it.

I'm not ready to sit down & type anything heavy atm. Too many orphans, not enough days off. I've still got 2 toons to lvl to 10!!! Oh, advice for lvl 60+, don't get the baby eyeball pet. It's butt ugly. Looks like an ass on one side & a pussy on the other. The baby hawkstrider, otoh, is the cutest freaking thing ever.)

Speaking of ass & pussy... what's the difference between parsley & pussy? Parsley freshens your breath when you eat it.

How would you define your spiritual practices or spirituality? What cultures influence it?

Right now my spiritual practices are dead in the water. I've found myself confronted by a growing lack of faith in anything.

When I'm able to feel spiritual, I've always lived by Ellen Cannon Reed's saying: A good witch is eclectic, she'll steal anything that works. My earliest influences were Satanism, Santeria and the Greco-Roman pantheon. I was lucky to spend my formative years living during America's pop-culture occult revival of the mid to late 70's. I still find myself drawn to the Mediterranean mysteries that I started out with, especially those revolving around Hades, Persephone, Dionysus and Ariadne. I've actively practiced ceremonial magic, traditional Gardnerian/Alexandrian Wicca, some Vodou (it's truly what I feel is 'right' for me, but I cannot dedicate my life in this incarnation to the lwa), and I've delved into eastern and southwestern Native American shamanism. It's funny because most people end up talking to plants because of their forays into shamanism, while I ended up being drawn to shamanism by talking to plants & the spirits & elementals of the land I live on.

This is easier to answer than the spirituality question... I think I am just a born freak. I watched a lot of PBS when I was a kid, and I was 'precocious'. I remember seeing all manner of male animals on t.v. - rams, stags, bucks, wolves, musk ox, weasels, stallions, lions, you name it, battling it out for the right to breed & it seemed like, especially among the ruminants and cervines, all the males would get erections while they were fighting. And even at 7 or 8, I was turned on. Coupled with reading a lot of Greco-Roman mythology, which involved various Gods taking the form of male animals to seduce mortal women, along with stories about King Minos' wife & the bull, Europa & the bull, Pan (oooohhhh Pan), Herne, Cernunnos, centaurs, etc... well, the fantasies started. It's hard to put the fascination into words. I know it's not the taboo that turns me on, I think it's more the pure, unbridled lust. When a male animal is horny, he's just horny. There's no need for justification there, no emotional hang-ups, no madonna/whore complex, it's just the urge to merge. What could be more natural than a woman and her dog? ;)

(It's weird because I'm very one-sided. I think it's perfectly okay for a woman to have sex with a male animal, and completely wrong for a man to have penetrative sex with any animal... even if it's a large female in heat; but it's okay for a man to be penetrated by an animal. I'm not sure about the whole oral thing for humans to give to female animals... I worry about bacteria. Human mouths are so filthy & a female in heat is very vulnerable to infections. Goofy, huh?)

I don't think I could ever actually engage in beastiality physically, firstly because it's flat out illegal here, but mainly because it was forced on me as a child.

But that said, I have always found it interesting in pornographic literature and have amassed a fair collection, also finding the 'animal' aspect of it interesting and appealing. It's cool to find someone else interested in it though, here it's never mentioned, and... when it is, it's with the idea that people who are interested in it are disgusting. I'm not sure where I stand on the morality of it, which is another reason I don't think I could go through with it, but I am interested in the dynamic of the interspecial connection.

Everytime I think about the crap you've gone through & the crap you still go through, it pisses me off. Sex is sacred, and to have lifelong associations of abuse and rape connected to it is probably the most blasphemous and offensive thing I can imagine. Sex should be a playful adventure, and any torture involved should be consentual and pain should only be inflicted when it's asked for, and even then it should be wrapped in pleasure... I don't have many strong ethics or sense of morality, but I think that's my line in the sand.

I keep a lot of my inner freak quiet on my lj, including some of my more exotic encounters & those from my younger years. I have written some good bestiality porn, though. I guess I could put it behind cuts, but I also don't want to get myself or anyone else in trouble. There is a broad range of ages of people who read these things. Here in Nevada, bestiality isn't strictly illegal, but many times it can be classified under cruelty to animals.

I just love sex so much - it takes a lot of self-control for me to NOT talk about it all the time, in graphic throbbing confessional details!

Have you ever thought about having a sex filter for people you think would be able to handle that kind of stuff? I have a BDSM filter which - alas - I haven't actually used for a reallllly long time since my stereo celibacy.

If I can work out filters, I'm pretty sure you can. :D Hehe. They're pretty straightforward once you get the hang of them, and it's the only way I feel safe talking about a lot of the things that happened to me in my past.
