Good movie. Interesting interpretation for the screen by Thomas Harris. The kid they picked to play Hannibal Lecter (Gaspard Ulliel) as a teen-ager/young adult evoked the older Lecter quite well. He was pretty darned creepy, but he had Anthony Hopkin's manner of looking upwards at the camera & tilting his head this way & that down perfectly. One particular scene where he's holding a wineglass brings to mind Malcolm McDowell in A Clockwork Orange. I read the book first, devoured the book, & the book had more detail of course, but the movie wasn't too far out of line. I admit it, I'm a big fan of the dapper cannibal.
