Waspishness

Rob and I went to Lowe's & came back w/a pressurized canister of wasp killer. We took advantage of a rare moment when the wasp wasn't sitting on her little paper house to knock said house down. Of course, as we were hunting in the gravel for the small paper construction site, the wasp came back. I said something to the effect of "Oh shit, she's back!" & we were all asses & elbows trying to get back in the house. It was like watching two kids who've been caught t.p.'ing something.
Once it got dark, I went back out there to actually spray - the wasp killer said it's effective for up to 24 hours. I gave all the corners a good coating and myself in the process. She wasn't up there (which is kind of a relief because I wasn't too sure about shooting down an angry wasp with a can of bugspray), and I'm really hoping that us knocking down her nest deterred her from further attempts to build on our porch. I hope she finds more suitable territory elsewhere. She was a pretty wasp - but I like bees & wasps
