Golden Egg o'Plenty

The rares are so hard to catch - especially because half the time I've spent too long reading the descriptions. I end up abandoning a lot of vine dragon eggs just because their descriptions are long - I automatically click thinking, "Oh boy, dinosaur!" (Or "Oh boy, chicken!").

Dragon Addiction

Basically, it's a website (Dragon Cave.net (http://dragcave.net/) where you collect dragon eggs - you post the eggs where people will see them & as people click on the eggs, they eventually hatch & grow up. Then when you've got female & male mature dragons, you breed them, they lay eggs & you can keep the eggs or abandon them for other people to find. New eggs appear on the site at the top of the hour - some, like the reds & greens are common, others - the silver, gold, some of the alternate sprites, 'seasonal' dragons & dinosaurs & chickens are rares & take a lot of luck to grab.

It's highly addictive - I don't get many clicks from my lj, but I'm on a Pagan forum, a mental health forum & I joined the dragonspam2 (http://community.livejournal.com/dragonspam2/) community on lj :D I'm pretty pathetic - I've got about 10 dragons & I'm working on the gold egg & trying for a black alts.

I've also started writing descriptions of my dragons - if your descriptions pass the review board, the descriptions get published to your dragon's description page. I've got 3 published so far :D

Nice! So, if I wish to pick one of the abandoned dragon eggs, I get to claim him/her to be mine and take care of it? Kinda like... owning a real one!

Thank you for sharing, Lady. -nods and smiles-

I guess it's kind of like owning a cross between a dragon & a Pokemon... You gotta catch 'em all.

I'm kicking myself because I didn't hang out on the site on Hallowe'en - they had vampire dragons :::kicks self again::: & the black ones are just awesome looking.

My favorites are the silvers & two-headed ones.
