perzephoneMy Moment of Insensitivity and Non-Political Correctness: Anyone who's ever been to the Excalibur has probably noted that we do not cater to crowds who like to look at sexy cocktail waitresses. Most of our waitresses are old, unattractive or both. Now, myself being unattractive if not quite old yet, have other skills I can fall back on when they implode the hotel, like being able to type 50wpm... but what are our old ugly cocktail waitresses going to do? There really isn't any other hotel that will take them on. These poor blighted creatures are going to end up as Wal-Mart greeters, much like our front desk ogres, Duane & Frank. I think that Las Vegas should sponsor a home for old, ugly cocktail waitresses - maybe offer schooling for alternative careers, like becoming DMV clerks or school lunch-ladies. Something to help these women when their Social Security benefits run out.
So, Alex's next class is Technical English. I'm expected to present a business proposal of some sort using PowerPoint. I've only used PowerPoint ONCE in my entire life to look at something someone else had put together. I'm basically screwed on this one. Taking the instruction manual to work tonight to see if I can figure this out...
