It took me all freaking day to pee, which was the go-home criteria. Glad they didn't want me to take a shit because that definitely wasn't happening.

Entubation is terrifying.

No Pain, No Gain

Laparoscopy is an amazing technology, and my gyno used something called a harmonic scalpel, which sounds like something out of sci-fi but is almost bloodless. I have three band-aids - including one in my bellybutton, which is the extent of my dressings. :D

I'm feeling pretty ok right now, except for the gas working its way out of my system. Which hurts like a mofo on steroids. Demerol doesn't work on that particular pain, either. I had the absolute rottenest luck to start my period on Weds., so when I went in to the hospital, I was like, "hey, can you guys do something for these cramps?" One of the nurses totally did not get it, and ended up putting some anti-inflammatory in my IV.
