I should have left this freakin' tooth alone. That filling is sitting right on the nerve, so every time I bite down on anything... Oh, the pain. It's exquisite. It's endorphin-releasing. It's truly, truly horrible. Right now I can feel it just sitting in my jaw, busily throbbing away. If I go back on Monday for my set of four fillings, and my tooth is still feeling this way, I'm getting a referral to that oral surgeon & having yet another tooth pulled. I refuse to get a fucking root canal. All I know is that I spent $25 for nothing today. It didn't hurt til the anaesthesia fully wore off. Before I got the filling, it was fine. I could chew aluminum all day long, no problem. Now... a pickle almost made me pass out earlier.

We're thinking about going up to Seattle for a week. I don't know about staying in a hotel though. Bedbugs. All I can think about is bedbugs.

The pain should go away in a day or two. Fillings hurt at first when they are close to the nerve.

Thank you for the words of reassurance...

I've never had a filling actually HURT before, so I'm freaked out by it. I guess there's a first time for everything, but why this particular thing?

Hope you're feeling better yourself. St. John's Wort can actually help w/what you're dealing with - as long as you're not already taking any MAOI's & aren't a sun-worshipper :)
