I don't have stereoscopic vision, and I've been looking at these two photos for a loooong time (well, like a year) now, and I still cannot see whatever it is I'm supposed to see that will make me shit bricks. I've seen a couple of these that actually worked for me because they were poorly done (like a tyrannosaurus coming out of the fog) or not relying on optical illusions (one where there's some guy peeking in a window) but these two have me stumped. The secret of the black & white one is that it looks like someone's hanged themselves from a tree, but I don't think that's honestly what it is. If I blur my vision a little I can almost see like a cheshier cat in the center, but I'm just not satisfied w/my interpretation.

Yeah, if you're wondering, I can't see anything in those pattern posters, either. The random repeated shapes just stay random repeated shapes. You should see me taking the vision test at the DMV.

I know that there are a few of these around that contain nothing at all - they're just messing with people in a different way. Annoying.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't see anything in 3D posters. It drives me crazy.

I tried the trick of turning up the brightness on my monitor, & when I did that a kind of super-imposed face appeared, finally, like the one Spyral described. There also seems to be kind of a witchy figure up higher in the trees, kind of like one of Brian Froud's faeries - it's more the negative space giving that impression, though.

I ditto your sentiment about being glad I'm not the only one who can't see - normally I'd be the one person in the poster-shop going, "I don't get it" while everyone around me is looking for a few minutes & then going, "Ohhhh, now I see it!"

Hihi!!

well the first one I think I see a ghostly face in the grass between the 'd' ans 'g' of the title at the bottom. In the second one, I see a grim reaper w/ scythe on the far left side.

I looked at few of these and I can normally see the 3-D stuff but these were really subtle.

Thanks for the puzzle! :D

I stayed up late last night, surfing for clues on the b/w picture - someone said there's supposedly a skeleton propped up against the tree on the right, and I can kind of see a rib-cage looking thing... I found a couple more w/no solutions - I'll have to post them when I get the opportunity :)
