Just got further confirmation of why I've given up doing readings for myself. But I've got the new Medicine Cards, so I figured I'd give it a shot... Some excerpts:
East: This is the guide to my greatest spiritual challenges & guards my path to illumination
Raven, Contrary. Key Word: Magic
This could be one of 3 things: Bad karma returning, I haven't yet mastered my current level of consciousness... or I'm stuck in a rut & have forgotten the magic of life (duh). A time to seek healing & clear the smoke & shadows.
South: Protects the inner child & reminds me when to be humble & when to trust so innocence will be balanced in my soul.
Mouse, Contrary. Key Word: Scrutiny
Stop looking at the big picture & start focusing on the details.
West: Leads me to my personal truth & inner answers. It also shows me the path to my goals.
Turtle. Key Word: Mother Earth
Using Water & Earth. Honor the creative source within me, be grounded & compassionate. Connecting w/Earth Mother. Ask & receive - a call to prayer.
North: Gives wise counsel & reminds me when to speak & when to listen. It also reminds me to be grateful of every blessing, every day.
Elk, Contrary. Key Word: Stamina
Be wary of undue stress & illness. Honoring the company of the opposite sex.

Fox, Contrary. Key Word: Camouflage
Finding that which makes me feel alive.
Below: Teaches me about my inner Earth & how to stay grounded & on the path.
Crow, Contrary. Key Word: Law
This is straight from the book, mainly because I don't fully understand the symbol. So you are an outlaw today, eh? This is one of the varied messages of Crow reversed. The rebel in you has given a yell, and all hell is about to break loose!
A word to the wise at this point: make sure that if you are stepping on toes, you have some back-up. The catalyst for a barroom brawl is usually the person with two black eyes. That is what it means to eat Crow.
If you do not plan to go to such extremes, Crow reversed may indicate that you are merely 'cheating a little' on your diet, or covertly watching the neighbors have a spat and thinking, "Promises are made to be broken". In any of these situations, the only loser is you. If you are lying to yourself on any level, you have lost the power of Crow. Think about it, and maybe your inner truth will come to you.
In seeing what is true, you may need to weed out past beliefs or ideas to bring yourself into the present moment. Contrary Crow speaks of needing to remember that Divine Law is not judgement or denial of self-truths. Divine Law is honoring harmony that comes from a peaceful mind, an open heart, a true tongue, a light step, a forgiving nature, and a love of all living creatures. Honor the past as your teacher, honor the present as your creation, and honor the future as your inspiration.
Refusing to honor the shifts in your reality can cause emotional pain. An implosion of energy is apparent when rebellion surfaces. Contrary Crow speaks of broken law. The law of expansion is broken by suppression. This may apply to a situation, an old habit, a person you have given your authority to, or your own fears. It is always your own creation, so call on Crow and shift that creation to your new reality.
Within: Teaches me how to find my heart's joy & how to be faithful to my heart's truths. Protects my sacred space, that which is mine alone & only shared by invitation.
Opossum, Contrary. Key Word: Diversion
Dramatizing a situation. Making excuses instead of telling the truth. Learning to not just say no, but to know how to say, "No."
Right Side: Protector of my male side, my Father-Protector within. It carries my courage and warrior spirit.
Buffalo. Key Word: Prayer, Abundance
A second call to prayer, to ask & receive. Opening myself to being the tool of someone else's prayer, the deus ex machina.
Left Side: Protection of my female side. Teaches me that I must learn to receive abundance as well as to nurture myself and others. It also teaches me about relationships and mothering.
Hummingbird, Contrary. Key Word: Joy
Sorrow as a reflection of joy.
Who I Am, Right Now, In This Moment: Badger. Key Word: Aggressiveness
Seeking aggressive healing. Channeling anger constructively.
